What is custom publishing? Custom publishing allows you to choose the content of your text book. You may not use all the chapters from your current text book. Custom publishing allows you to select only the chapters you use, in the order you choose. What can I put in my custom book? As well as chapters selected from Thomson texts, you can include content from one of our databases, such as Harvard Business school cases; your own materials, such as lecture notes, workshop or tutorial materials; campus-specific content such as the academic calendar, campus map, course syllabus. Can I use content from more than one book? Yes, you can use content from any Thomson text, US and/or UK. Is there a limit to how many books I can use content from? Not within reason. Can I use my own material, and is there a limit to how much of my own material I can use? You can use your own material, the limit is determined by how much you want students to pay. Is there a minimum quantity for custom? Yes, 100 copies Can I use part of a chapter? Yes How long does it take to create a custom book? Approximately 3 months from confirmation of content. How will my students purchase their custom book? Through their campus or local bookstore, or direct from Cengage Learning if there is no bookshop on campus.
