Will I have to sign a contract?

Before we print your customised text we require written confirmation that you are to use the text in your forthcoming course, and that's it!

Will it cost more than a standard text?

It very much depends on what your text is made up of and whether you include colour. We will discuss all options available to you before confi rming the price.

Will the text be in colour?

We can produce full colour printing, single chapters in full colour and black and white texts.

Can the text still have an index and page numbers?

Yes. You can choose to have the text fully paginated and with an index. It’s up to you!

What can I put in my custom book?

As well as chapters selected from Cengage texts, you can include content from one of our databases, such as Harvard Business school cases, your own materials, lecture notes, workshop or tutorial materials, academic calendar, campus map and course syllabus.

Can I use content from more than one book?

Yes, you can use content from any Cengage text.

Is there a limit to how many books I can use content from?

No.

Can I use my own material, and is there a limit to how much of my own material I can use?

You can use your own material, with no limits assuming you are responsible for the copyright.

Are there any restrictions on the number of copies I must order?

The minimim quantity for a custom text is 50.

Can I use part of a chapter?

Yes

How long does it take to create a custom book?

Once you have decided what you want your text to consist of, we can usually have printied copies in 4-6 weeks.

How will my students purchase their custom book?

Your students will be able to purchase the textbook from your local bookshop.

Can I choose my own cover?

Yes. You have the option to choose from our gallery of covers, or create your own unique cover specifically for your course.

What is the process for creating a customised book?

Firstly you need to decide what content you require and in what order. Once we have agreed upon a print run we will provide you with a no obligation quote. If youíre happy we will build your text whilst you decide upon the artwork for the cover. Many lecturers include their university/department logo on the cover along with their names and course information and your text will be ready for dispatch in 4-6 weeks
