The FUNDAMENTALS OF MATHEMATICS, Tenth Edition, offers a comprehensive and objectives-based review of all basic mathematics concepts. The author helps learners by addressing three important needs: 1) establishing good study habits and overcoming math anxiety, 2) making the connections between mathematics and their modern, day-to-day activities, and 3) being paced and challenged according to their individual level of understanding.

  • CHAPTER 6 REORGANIZATION. Based on user and reviewer feedback, Chapter 6, "Percent," has been reorganized and updated. Conversions of fractions, decimals, and percents have been consolidated, and the section on "Applications of Percents" has been reorganized and significantly expanded. Plus, three new sections of applications have been added: "General Applications of Percent and Percent of Increase and Percent of Decrease" (Section 6.6); "Sales Tax, Discount and Commissions" (Section 6.7); and "Simple and Compound Interest as Applied to Savings and on Loans, Credit Card Payments and Balances" (Section 6.8).
  • EXAMPLES have been updated in each section for the Example and Warm-Up Sections, keeping the material timely.
